Hi ZSP0911,
Assuming that your prospective subcon meets your initial
audit requirements, you need to do a full-blown qual
that involves all the necessary rel tests on
product/package samples to be manufactured by the subcon
for you.
For each package and device family, you need to choose
qual vehicle devices (the worst-case ones). If you're
planning to let the subcon manufacture many different
kinds of products and packages, this may require many
sample sets, so a good design of the qual plan becomes
necessary to make the qual economical.
Have a Rel engineer design and document a qual plan,
which basically lists down the qual vehicles, the sample
sizes, and the tests to be performed on the qual
vehicles (including test conditions).
Once the qual plan has been generated, let the subcon
manufacture the qual samples. The manufacturing process
to be used on these qual samples must be representative
of the actual processes to be used on your products
later on.
When the samples become available, run the qual plan. Do
FA on any rel failures. Hopefully the subcon will pass
all the rel reqts. defined in the qual plan. A rel
report is then generated to document the qual done and
the qual results for future reference.
Best regards and good luck! |
